If you have timely information to get to us - see the "Contact Us" page.
If you have general, non urgent, information to share with us - by all means use the "Comments" feature below - we look forward to hearing from you ...... and remember - unlike an e-mail, this page is a "party-line" - for everyone to see, and enjoy, your observations.
NOTE: We've had reports of people having difficulty in posting their comments - and, y'know, you are right. There seems to be some flaky-ness to the system. One thing that seems to work is to select "Comment as: Anonymous" (the selection at the bottom of the drop-down list), and do a "Preview" rather than going directly to "Publish." That seems to help. If really don't want to be anonymous - just add your name within the message, or at least give us a clue as to who you are. Thanks, in any case, for your interest and your good wishes.
So - with all that said, let the POSTS BEGIN !!!

Dwayne!
Dwayne who?
Dwayne the bathtub, I'm drowning.
Old sailors never die, they just get a little dinghy.
ReplyDeleteHow come all the rocks that sailors run into are referred to as "uncharted?"
ReplyDeleteGo, Frank!! Don't know anything about boats, cat or otherwise! Do you sleep on the boats or do you go from your gourmet dinner to the local hot sheet motel for a snooze? In any case, it will surely be an adventure about which I am looking forward to hearing. Who knew that the Isle of Long was so very. . .long! May your winds be fair and your powder stay dry!
ReplyDeleteHi Martha: Yes, sleep right on the boat - there is a "V" berth in the cabin - one side has all your junk, the other is for rolling out a sleeping bag & your pillow. Cozy. The fun of it all. For showers and clean up - there is always a near-by marina or club with facilities. Mornings? Get some coffee - and off on a new day's adventure - early starts pay off in calmer waters w/morning breeze. Overnight at a shore-side motel? Not likely, unless the weather turns punky for a couple of days - in that case a real room would be attractive - otherwise, its like camping, only better. Cheers now - F.
DeleteSounds like a great adventure! Hope you have fair winds!
